Hi,

i have fault codes on my crown majesta, the main one is c1231, steering angle sensor circuit malfunction. Now i have replaced this sensor unit conpletely, but still gives me this error light. In combination it gives me check VSC, PCS and AFS errors. Also c1345 error and abs problems. Abs i managed to delete now with techstream but SAS circuit keeps coming back. How do i “re-learn” this sensor?

Just FYI, the Crown Majesta is not the same car as the LS460. The Crown is more related to the GS but doesn't share anything really with the LS.

Are you sure? It actually shares mamy things with the LS, but indeed GS too. All suspension parts are all the same. I can find very little info about the Crown when it comes to these errors but i’m sure these errors mean the same in the LS / GS 460

I’m 100% sure. There is basic platform sharing (both are variants of the N Platform but the LS is very different.

Codes are probably the same for any Toyota product.

The engine, maybe. But thats about it.

Not even the engine. The Crown Majesta uses the V6 from the GS, the V8 is not even available.

They have? Do the research. UZS171 has the 1uz, UZS186 has the 3uz and the URS206 has the 1ur v8

GS also had the LS’s V8 through the third generation. Not the same car.

You didn't but the OP did, the reference to the LS460 was removed in the title, originally it said "crown majesta (ls460) errors" after I originally commented. It no longer has the V8 but it clearly did, I was mistaken. I looked up the engines and what I looked at didnt include the V8.

I really don't even understand what they were doing with putting the V8 in the Crown. It was the same engine but less made less power than the one in our LS460. Makes no sense. Obviously the most logical reason is it was detuned because Toyota. The Crown Majesta is a really nice car, but the power difference made me choose Lexus.

Same as in the GS...it was the same engine but with less power.

The less power is because of the less space in the bonnet for the dual intakes. Not from detune.

didn’t effect performance. I had the gs460, it’s more nimble and faster than the LS460.
