Anyone else is confused as to what the hell is BMW doing with their styling?
In my opinion their design from previous years was perfect. There was nothing wrong with it.

Headlamps, front bumper, and rims all look very similar to those on the new X3. Rest of the car is very reminiscent of the E65 7 & E 60 5.

I saw a heavily masked prototype in a magazine last week, said the car is going to be the E90 platform. What are all of the models between 65 and 90? I remember when the cars were E36, E38, and E39. Or are the numbers non-sequential.

ignore the front end and it looks a lot like an audi.

still not a bad looking car. I like the e46 the best.

I don't know guys, Am I the only one feeling it. I've had an e30, e36 and an e46. I've been looking at the new 5, but it goes from outstanding to frumpy just moving a few feet. I think I will wait for the new GS before making a move.

It looks a lot like Audi. I kinda like it better then 5 or 7 series. Still not my style though. Too small.

I looked at it at first and was thinking to myself, "No, not Audi.." ...

But then, under a closer look... the picture SCREAMS Audi.. That's a shame... Nothing like blending in.

OLT, do you have 2 E36s now? I remember my E36, handled great but could have used a little more low-end torque (318i automatic). I would love one of the '04 E46s with SMG.

Agree with the Audi comments, but there is no more hope for BMW. Their last good looking model is soon to be gone. The deal on the 4 series (if anyone was wondering) is that all 3 series coupes and verts are gonna be dubbed the 4 series so new M3 will actually be an M4. Also, a new 1 series is gonna be out. Looks like a little Z4 so that means 1,3,4,5,6,7 series within 3-4 years.

i'm actually hoping that this is a long over due redesign of 745/65 which was said to be done september of 2003 but never happened. if it is i think it looks much better, still not perfect but this one can grow on me.
this is comming from bmw diehard fan. dont get me wrong i love my IS its just that relibility is extreamly important to me right now. Quality control for US bmw units is some how complitely different form units sold in europe. between all my friends in europe they own almost full line up and none of them have/had problems like bmw owners have here.
