Yes I agree, no offense to anyone but I hate those gauges. The clock is a massive waste of real estate in the cluster. Forget the Silver Arrow vanity part but these are correctly done MB gauges:
R129s got the W140 gauges, or other way around actually. See how the clock off to the right there is much more ideal because the passenger can easily see it?
yea the way the R129 gauges do it would be perfect instead of the clock in the W211 gauges... the chrysleritis infection had just started to set in by that point
I think the difference is the way we're driving more than what we are driving lol
And no I had a Ford Explorer, two Lexus ESs, a Lexus GS, I have had a Toyota Prius, two Jeep Grand Cherokees and 4 minivans. In 28 years of driving I have been pulled over 4 times total, and the last time was well over 10 years ago. My wife has been driving for 27 years and she has never been pulled over. Not one time. She drives faster than me lol
I’m convinced women drive faster than men!!
My wife drive faster than me but she claims she gets car sick when I drive spiritedly. When she drives, I sit in the backseat in 2 seatbelts if not a car seat!!

i'm really not a fan of the analog clock on the W211, it's literally the only time display anywhere in the car and it's in the gauge cluster! there's an LCD display in the middle of the dashboard how hard would it have been to just have a digital time readout up in the corner
i'd much rather that left side of the gauge cluster be split up to have an oil temp and supercharger boost gauge (for instance), more like how they used to split up that left side of the cluster
Wow that looks terrible and is a total waste of space in the gauge cluster. It just looks dumb and not classy at all for a car like that.
@SW17LS Here’s my 161k mile 10yr old 3rd Prius oil after 11k miles since last oil change (Mobil 1 0w-20 synthetic). 22 miles since the last gas bar has been flashing as I plan on driving it to 100 miles on trip B before I stop for fuel. Long as I average 45+mpg on trip B, I’m ok.
Won’t hesitate to put it on a roadtrip. Even has wireless CarPlay 😉
I ain’t driving it on a road trip lol. For one I would be miserable, and two it’s just too old.
LOL🤦♂️
It’s not my go to but if it’s just 1-2 of us and we need to make a quick run before the Supra came into play, it was the Prius. I’m not taking a roadtrip in a 7 passenger or even 5 passenger vehicle and it’s just 1-2 of us. My wife is afraid of driving the Supra (she’s moved it in and out the garage) so she will hop in the Prius and park the X7 if need be.
If the weather will be inclement, Prius all day!! Nowadays I only wash the front end of the Prius and only that’s when I’m washing another vehicle.

Irony is you actually redline the thing so will avoid the rings sticking lol!
