The superiority of electric vehicles over gas vehicles can't be overstated
You're racing ginormous oversized fridges now??😂😁

Son's in town this weekend, so we have a crowded backyard. The cable extender has really come in handy

Have to keep her refueled so I can beat some more supercharged V8's 😍

It's a bit more than an oversized fridge:

Despite Musk putting Tesla on the back burner (and alienating current and potential customers) to get his 5 minutes of fame to play Gman, it's still the best vehicle that exists, IMO. Better than anything made in it's class by Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Acura, Mazda...or any other automaker. None come close it's efficiency and performance, you need a twice the price supercharged V8 just to hang with me 0 to 80 or even come close to the smooth, instant torque experience. So despite the drop in sales, or the crazy vandals running amuck, my next car, and next will be a Tesla. All you have to do is drive one to be hooked

They're great cars, but I've driven them and wasn't hooked. They're not for everybody. The only Tesla that I have any interest in on any level is the Model S, and thats just because I love how they look. The drive and experience is meh for me. They're just too austere for my taste with too many control quirks.

Now an EV in general, I have to agree all it takes is driving one to be hooked.

I agree, EV vs. ICE is a no brainer unless you regularly tow or do long road trips . EV vs. EV isn't the runaway it used to be for Tesla especially with NACS becoming the standard and super chargers opening up.

Yeah IMO the Rivian is a way more compelling vehicle for example. Love the i7, Lucid I like better than Tesla but they still don't really speak to me.

I was specifically talking about EV vs ICE, not EV vs EV. We already know EV's have superior drive-trains over ICE, there is no disputing that. I would still buy a Tesla over any other EV because frankly, I like their tech and software implementation over other EV's I've driven, and as you know, I've owned and driven a lot of different EV's . This is just my opinion, and I'm not telling anyone what they should buy

Agreed. Lots of there criteria out that to make an informed choice, not everyone cares about speed or efficiency. Luxury or ride might be the dealbreaker or maybe the interior materials. Model Y doesn't look like a true crossover. On the other hand, Lexus RZ shockingly rides very very similar to Lexus models of the 1990s or early 00s. No advanced shock absorbers and lovely interior materials. On purpose almost no one pedal driving whatsoever.

I guess if I want to fall asleep I can go with your recommendations, but isn't that what Ambien is for?

The Rivian front end is a deal breaker for me. The R1T body looks really good, but that front.

We're getting a bit off topic, we can shift the Rivian topics over to the general thread.

All washed and ready for tomorrow morning's trip, 390 miles to SoCal

Although I have and will be using FSD when needed, I'm bringing some backup

It's more efficient than my Model Y, so there will be a lot less supercharging time involved. Leaving with 90 percent SoC, two stops, a total of 23 minutes. I'll reach my destination with 10 percent SoC
