This timeline aligns perfectly with the inevitable announcement of the Century SUV replacing the LS.

I have always liked the exterior design of the LS500. Whenever I see them I usually have to do a double take. I think the basic model is the best looking in my opinion. I think it comes with a basic sunroof. I like that. .

I like these two styles. I also like how the hybrid uses a mechanical awd system with a Torsen diff.

They are great looking I agree.

I'm surprised there isn't a 35th anniversary trim package or something...

The LS500 is an example of a car that I initially hated when I saw the styling and was adamant that I would never like it.... yet now I think it is my favorite LS for exterior styling. Every time I see one on the road I look at it and think how great it looks. I was totally wrong on that one early.

it's a stylish and long car, but the world has shifted its preference more to higher seating position suvs, so the ls500 is a rare sight indeed.

unfortunately lexus does not make a good looking high end suv (imo).

I just wish the LS 500 had more power to put it more in league with something like the Audi S8.

When i see an LS500 out and about, I have to take a moment to examine it to make sure it's not an ES. Lexus really didn't do enough to differentiate it aesthetically from their FWD retirementmobile.

The S class and 7 series are much easier to tell apart from their lower end siblings.

Its a shame how the LS went from being the top dog or near top dog to RIP in another 2 yrs or so. But hey at least Toyota is pouring money into sports cars. 10s of actual buyers will be happy.

the ls had a decade of shocking and threatening mercedes, but in 2011 when mercedes launched the twin turbo v8, it was all over.

still looks kinda bloated and bulbous with the sloping rear window, and of course the spindle grille is still a fail... that's assuming i even see one at all lol even around here they're a rare sighting

the first facelift 460(SWB) and the 1998-2000 are the ones i think are, and will continue to age the best

S8? Yeah.....nah. It's more of a V6 competitor and smaller so it should do fine against an A6 or E class

Literally happened to me yesterday when leaving my subdivision, had to check the badges when I got closer since I wasn't totally sure the taillights were a 500.

The front end on these doesn't flow well with the rest of the car, the lower grill looks like a stacked cup under the main grill and was IMO a pointless refresh that ruined the lines vs the original.

The 2013+ F-sport does a better job but again the face and rear doesn't flow together well
