I lived for a short time as an exchange student in France while in high school. My host family had two cars - a Renault 25D, and a Renault Clio.

Here's a Clio that is of the same era and, other than the color, is very much like the one they had.

I'm just going to leave this right here and say "go watch the movie Drowning Mona."

And this is why I need to do even better at monitoring BaT. I've long been on the search for the perfect MR-2. I once owned a 1986 model, and have regretted it every day since selling it. I'd love to find a 2nd gen like this one (but I prefer white with the tan interior):

As noted above, I once owned an '86 MR-2. It was not unlike this one (but white exterior, interior was exactly the same as this one):

That Oldsmobile Achieva is wild. I would have never guessed an Olds from that era came in a manual.

I've never been much of a Ford person, but I do recall fond memories of the Ford Thunderbird SCs of the late 80s/early 90s.

Speaking of Thunderbirds, when I was a kid our neighbor had one of these 1988 Thunderbird Turbo Coupes with a 5 speed. I remember being quiet impressed when I rode with them to the beach for the day.

1UZ-FE fits perfectly under the hood I've seen two of these swaps it completely transforms the car. Engine weighs about the same as the 22RE.

Yeah, the 1999 upgrade really was great. Needed the sport package though, which became standard in either 00-01. I like this white but they screwed with the OEM grill, pass. It probably has a grey top and that would look really good. Thanks for the shout out!
