Default Bring a Trailer Thread

I've been thinking about starting this thread for a while. I religiously stalk the Bring a Trailer web site. Lots of great examples of cars from my youth and my dreams. I hope you will all enjoy this thread and contribute to it, as I plan to post up some good examples from BaT.

Since this is Club LEXUS, I'll start off with this:

2001 LS430 with only 33k miles.

More to come...

Anyone remember the Oldsmobile Achieva?

My dad took me to the dealership and we test drove a manual transmission, 2 door Achieva SCX with the "quad 4" motor. Remarkably fun, as I recall (at least from the front seat) but I remember that the engine was LOUD and the suspension was STIFF.

This one recently sold:

As a kid, I absolutely drooled over Celicas like these. My dad worked for a Toyota dealership and I'd go there and sit in all of them and drool over them all.

Check out this 1984 Celica GT-S with the 5 speed and only 74K miles.

This Corolla has sold, but as a kid, my grandparents had one EXACTLY like this.

1976 (good year!) Corolla LiftBack with only 44k miles on it. On a side note, my first car was a '77 Corolla Coupe, automatic, and yellow with a black vinyl interior. I have less fond memories of that one, but the thing refused to die.

This BMW, currently available (not for much longer), represents the stuff of my junior high dreams. As a high schooler, when I would find one of these on a used car lot, I would always go for a little spin.

Here's a 1988 BMW 325i convertible, red, with a 5 speed, however with a broken speedometer so mileage is unknown.

Okay, so here's another item of my high school time obsession: A 1992 Mercedes 500E. This one has 79k miles on it.

A frequent topic of CL Car Chat discussion, the much loved and often feared 1994 Mercedes SL600. Check out this stunning example with only 30k miles on it. (Headlight wiper position not withstanding)

For my friend @AJT123 , we must include an SL500. This is a 1999 with 49k on it and appears stunning.

My folks bought a brand new 1986 Camry, and I remember it being a significant step up from the Corolla they had previously. Ours was blue on blue, just like this one. The big deal then was that 1986 was the first year of the "CHMSL", or Center High Mounted Stop Light. While ours was a gas version with a manual transmission, this BaT example offers proof that there was a time when Toyota offered a Camry with a turbo-diesel.

Over the years, I owned two Honda CR-Xs. The first was a 1985, and the second was a 1988. Absolutely cheap but good fun. My ownership of my 1988 came to an abrupt end when rear-ended by a dump truck, but thankfully I lived to tell about it.

Check out this 1991 model. It has a bit of a storied history, but to date, it has less than 1000 miles on it.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1991-honda-crx-82/

Side note, I could be wrong but I don't think Honda ever offered the rear seat in US models.

I still love these Lexus LX470s. Here is a 2004 with only 50k miles on it.

Not too long after graduating from college, I began to think about buying my first ever brand new car. I really wanted a Jetta VR6. I did test drive them and loved them but at the time, I just couldn't swing the $25k or so they were going for.

Here's a 2004 Jetta with the 1.8T and a 6 speed that makes me think of that time in my life.
