Hey everyone,
I recently got the chance to drive the Toyota Aygo X (Undercover Edition). It is a compact SUV with a 1.0l 3 cylinder petrol engine and a 5 speed manual transmission. The car produces about 70bhp so it is not fast but it was fairly enjoyable to drive.
I wanted to share some photos of it as it is the smallest new Toyota offered in the UK currently. 2023 Toyota Aygo X
With the upcoming loss of the Mitsubishi Mirage in the under-20K category in the U.S., I think there might be a market, even if not a large one, for new vehicles of that price-class here in the U.S. Not everyone can afford 40K or even 30K for a new vehicle.

I agree! That's a big price-class that needs more vehicles. Many cars are considerably more expensive than they were a few years ago. I don't even bother looking at new cars anymore because they are so far out of my price range.
Isnt this thing the size of a wheel on an 18 wheeler? What big SUV loving American will buy this thing even if it's cheap? They would get a Corolla if they want the cheapest Toyota. If people complained that the Lexus UX is too small and cramped, this might as well be a 2 seater here in the U.S. It would make a great car for Ubering in the city and Uber Eats though.

Yes and no one bought them. I dont remember the last time I saw a Yaris but I do see the rare occasional iQ. What was Toyota thinking when it decided it wanted to compete with the Smart Car.
@ThomasD94 hi,
Isn't this thing as large as a wheel on an 18-wheeler? Even if it’s affordable, who would choose this over larger SUVs? They’d likely opt for a Corolla if they want the most budget-friendly Toyota. If people find the Lexus UX too small and cramped, this might as well be a two-seater in the U.S. It could be an excellent option for city Uber drivers or Uber Eats delivery. NJMC-Direct
