Will a driverless truck still overtake another truck while going uphill and traveling 2 mph faster than said other truck? I really like this when there are only 2 lanes.
progress... will save a FORTUNE in trucking costs.
No hands: Pa. makes way for driverless trucking
So what's going to happen when the truck's camera-sensors can't distinguish where the sides of the road or the lane-markings are...say, on a rainy night, on snowy roads, or in temporary-construction zones? Pennsylvania has a lot of mountain roads (I've driven a number of them)...and that's a good way to lose a lot of trucks.

Totally. My favorite.

Technology has advanced to the point where this isn’t really a factor anymore.
Doesn't surprise me since you have no knowledge of how these systems work or how far they have progressed. If you would take some time and put some effort into researching that with an open mind then that would be one thing, but I don't think thats likely lol

LOL. Who says I have no knowledge? I may not be an engineer, but that does not mean that I am an idiot. And just look at what Tesla and Google are going through with their self-driving systems....in some cases even facing litigation.

you're really going to be irked when we have pilotless planes then. (hint: drone tech is advancing VERY rapidly, and self driving fighter jets already exist.)

LOL. Drones have been around for years...and you don't see me throwing any temper-tantrums. But drones are not true self-flying machines....they are usually controlled by remote human pilots.

you're only thinking of the older remotely controlled drones. we're now way beyond that.

What are we going to do when a human driver falls asleep, or misjudges a turn or drives too fast. What will we do when human drivers start killing people? Imagine those lawsuits.

I don’t think you are an idiot at all, you’re just not well researched or experienced in this particular subject and you are biased against it to begin with.
