1 Year Model X Ownership Review
I've read a mixed response about their V12 fsd. IMO too, it has come a long way and nothing else is like it. But I too wouldn't trust it knowing it randomly throws weird stuff at you... phantom braking is still there, speed bouncing around due to wrong speed limits, merging into blind spots, defaulting 5mph under limit when you go into fsd/auto (I think this might have been fixed on last update)... One thing I think they can improve is to not shut it off when driver manually changes lane. It should let the driver change and activate again on its own when the driver is in the new lane.

I have had 2 months of free FSD. I've only used it mostly for around town and stop and go commute. iMHo, it has come a long way from before, but I still wouldnt trust it and prefer driving myself. May be better used on long highway trips, but I haven't tried it in that scenario....

I was referring to speed limit signs on the street/freeway. Says you're on freeway cruising at 70 on 65 freeway and all the sudden it slammed on the brake because it "saw" a much lower limits, 55 or 35. The car somehow sees different speeds. Does tesla read speed limit signs or it pulls out from its data?

I believe they read the speed signs. My experience with FSD is more limited, but when I did use it, at first it would just drive at the speed limits, but then I manually set it, and I didn't have any issues with it after that. If I set it at 70 mph and a car in front of me was going 60, it would actually go around them. The only time it would slow down is if I approached a steep curve in the road
Yes, it will change lane if it sees safe and clear. But not always the case. Not sure if it's fixed already but recently (after V12 came out), if you were driving at 70 on a 60 highway and activated FSD/autopilot, it would bring the car down to 55. Sometimes when you were already on fsd/autopilot, it would suddenly slam the brake to drop speed because it somehow registered a much lower speed limit.
