One thing I have noticed is with the lower screen in my S580 I look down a lot more.

I don't care about them being visible or not, and I'd rather not have another unnecessary mechanical piece to fail.

I thought the same till I had hiding screens, it's wonderful to not have to look at the black void when driving. The 460 and SUVs just look strange since I run with the screens off unless I need something

Always had a soft spot for the Explorer. Did many trips in them in my younger years. Each version seems to improve, as does this one. The horsepower, weight, and mpg ratios are pretty impressive for not being a hybrid. But shame of Ford for getting rid of the hybrid.

The ST and ST-Line are the ones to get here. And fun fact... I can't think of another current vehicle that displays the tach in numbers and decimals.

My brother's 2024 Kia Seltos has that option on the screen....on the right.

Just be aware that Ford has the most recalls of any brand out there. More than the next 5 brands combined. I wish one serious good luck buying a Ford.

Didn't you once have a 1Gen Taurus-based FWD Lincoln Continental....or was that your dad?

I personally like the two-door Bronco, Bronco Sport, Maverick, and Lincoln Corsair, but the ultra-cheap-plastic interiors that Ford Division uses (Lincoln's are far better) and the QC problems that Jill noted would give me some hesitation.

you're counting the number of cars affected for recalls, some of which are just software fixes so much ado about nothing.

but keep bashing ford as you do...
