2024 Tesla Model 3 Performance
[QUOTE=AMIRZA786;11818644]
Go to the 12:00 mark. They said the cars were dead even at the half way point; after that the M3P Pirellis gave out. All the M3 benefit was from the tires.
It's probably a little bit more than tires, but a good set of track tires would make it a closer match to the M3, which is pretty amazing for a $54k car. But the Model 3 Performance is not a track purpose built car, which makes it is amazing in itself. The Throttlehouse guys just pretty much looked at their fans and lied out their teeth, which is why information you get from Youtube should be scrutinized

Saw my first new M3P in the wild in gray. It was new with temp tags and looked great. I was behind him at a light and as luck would have it he was first in line at the light in the left lane and I was right behind him.
He took off and I kind of slept at the wheel because I didn’t think he was going to floor it but it didn’t take me long to reel him in and go by him. We gave each other a thumbs up and he said he had no chance even though there was no way for him to know I had a Plaid since he was in front of me. I would have a hard time going to a slower car and it’s insane that a M3P is considered a slow car compared to the Plaid.

Mine is nowhere near this fast but my Gosh... it felt very dangerous at time when I floored my 5s car at the light.
I desperately want a new Plaid, mine has 60k miles on it and it’s showing its age, especially the front seats.

Im used to the power so that’s not the issue and I floor it all the time from a roll and it gets up to speed so fast that I actually feel safer than if it takes a long time. With this race though I had to brake really hard because we came up on some cars at the next light a ways up and you forget how fast you are going and how heavy the car is so you need a lot of room to brake so there was a moment of puckering up.

. I'm also tempted to execute a Model 3 Performance order before the end of the year, as the $7500 credit will likely be going away, but we don't need another car until July. I'm hoping I can make enough profit on my Tesla shares to just buy it straight out, that will more than make up for any lost tax credits

When I took my coworker to pick up his Model 3, I saw a heavily discounted Plaid demo, was tempting, but that's way too much car for me

In other words, if you buy early in 2025 and at a later point the credit is taken away, it's more likely to apply to future transactions only than retroactively taken away from ones where the ability to claim the credit was already locked in at purchased or could have/was already been factored into the deal.
I don't know if the M3P is included, but Tesla is offering 3 months free supercharging and 3 months free FSD if you take delivery by year end on 3 and Y.

Mine is a few hundred lbs more than yours so it does get scary if you have unforeseen traffic ahead of you. It sounds like letting off the pedal is not fast enough to bring the car back down. How is braking on this M3P and your Plaid compared to other performance cars? And yes, 60k is over due ...for you.
