The Throttlehouse guys just pretty much looked at their fans and lied out their teeth, which is why information you get from Youtube should be scrutinized
Go to the 12:00 mark. They said the cars were dead even at the half way point; after that the M3P Pirellis gave out. All the M3 benefit was from the tires.

We gave each other a thumbs up and he said he had no chance even though there was no way for him to know I had a Plaid since he was in front of me. I would have a hard time going to a slower car and it’s insane that a M3P is considered a slow car compared to the Plaid.
How did it feel like when you caught up with him? My heart would pump like it would want to pop out. Mine is nowhere near this fast but my Gosh... it felt very dangerous at time when I floored my 5s car at the light.

Im used to the power so that’s not the issue and I floor it all the time from a roll and it gets up to speed so fast that I actually feel safer than if it takes a long time. With this race though I had to brake really hard because we came up on some cars at the next light a ways up and you forget how fast you are going and how heavy the car is so you need a lot of room to brake so there was a moment of puckering up.

I desperately want a new Plaid, mine has 60k miles on it and it’s showing its age, especially the front seats.

When I took my coworker to pick up his Model 3, I saw a heavily discounted Plaid demo, was tempting, but that's way too much car for me . I'm also tempted to execute a Model 3 Performance order before the end of the year, as the $7500 credit will likely be going away, but we don't need another car until July. I'm hoping I can make enough profit on my Tesla shares to just buy it straight out, that will more than make up for any lost tax credits

Yeah the braking part with traffic ahead of you is the dangerous part. Mine is a few hundred lbs more than yours so it does get scary if you have unforeseen traffic ahead of you. It sounds like letting off the pedal is not fast enough to bring the car back down. How is braking on this M3P and your Plaid compared to other performance cars? And yes, 60k is over due ...for you.

I don't know if the M3P is included, but Tesla is offering 3 months free supercharging and 3 months free FSD if you take delivery by year end on 3 and Y.

As for the credit, it won't go immediately and chances are if it does it will go prospectively rather than retrospectively. In other words, if you buy early in 2025 and at a later point the credit is taken away, it's more likely to apply to future transactions only than retroactively taken away from ones where the ability to claim the credit was already locked in at purchased or could have/was already been factored into the deal.

I currently have $500 worth of super charging, so that part is covered. As far as ordering before the end of the year, I already have an extra car, and I will have two extra cars sitting idle. Until the Ioniq 5 lease is up in July, it wouldn't make any sense buying now. It would be a bummer losing the tax credits, but I'm sure Tesla will have a plan in place with incentives if they want to keep moving cars

I like spending other peoples money, I think you should go get one ASAP, you know you want to. Just think of the enjoyment you would get out of having it right now.

I am due for a new car but we just got the Cayenne last week and I’m probably upside down about $15k on the Plaid so I’d have to eat that and I would probably get the same exact car I have now unless I change colors so that’s a hard pill to swallow. If the updates to the Plaid were larger I’d have a new one right now.

Another good review by Gjeebs on two cars I love

One of the downsides of driving an electric car is everything feels underpowered, even a 911

he compared the base 911 to the performance model 3, but the comparison overall is ludicrous because the porsche is still 2x the price of the model 3 p.

If I'm paying $120k for a "base" performance car, it shouldn't feel slow, especially when compared to a $54k car. But it definitely sounds great, but not $120k great

If I ever wanted "feel", the money I would save buying a Model 3 Performance, I would get something to thrash around on the weekends like a GR86 with a 6 speed
