They make strange looking wagons for regular people and really lost the enthusiast niche customers that really helped support the brand.

Here in Memphis Subarus have become wallflower cars in recent years. In certain neighborhoods they are the most common brand of car seen. The Outback in particular seems very popular with empty nesters. I would definitely say Subaru owners here are “regular people”.
