Shell has already dropped all their hydrogen stations. So even in California the number of hydrogen stations has dropped significantly

You have that backwards. Batteries are only growing. Hydrogen on the other hand, seems to be the losing proposition. Last I saw, the biggest hydrogen fuel provider in California pulled the plug. Reality, my friend is not always pretty
