2025 Infiniti QX80
My LS430 is 6.3 seconds and the Benz feels about a half a second faster. It was the R230 but same engine trans and weight and it pulled 5.8 seconds. The shoe fits.
When cars are slower it's not as noticeable as .3/5 is when the cars are already fast but in the 6ish second range it's enough you can tell. Stuff in the 8 sec range no, it won't feel like much is different
.5 seconds is definitely noticeable from the butt dyno, and it’s much more of a walk than many people think.

My Mercedes is 5.7-5.8 which is .5 seconds faster than the LS430 and it's easssssssy to tell the faster car.
Like I say, it feels similar to the Yukon and that's about how fast 6.2L GM trucks are, too. I don't think the Yukon would win at the drag strip but around town the transmission is lightning fast, it would be close.
Sorry guys, you can’t perceive a 3/10ths of a second difference 0-60.
Comparing two different cars the gearing plays a huge role in how powerful a car feels, but the raw 0-60 time of 3/10ths of a second is not perceptible.
For instance my S580 feels very similar to my S560 but the 0-60 time is faster, 3.9 for the S580 and 4.2 for the S560. Same engine, same transmission, same gearing. More low end electric torque shaves off that time, Feels the same.

Slower stuff like these SUVs is still noticeable as well, my old 430 cut .3 off it's 1/4 mile with a basic tune and brought 0-60 to 5.9-6.1 vs 6.3ish stock and my wife asked unprompted if I changed something.

A tune is giving you and entirely different torque curve. What you are feeling is the additional low end torque not the 3/10ths of a second 0-60 at WOT. That’s well within the variables you will get testing it 0-60 each time
That’s why the new V6 QX80 probably feels faster than the old V8 despite being slightly slower 0-60 at WOT.

I finally saw one in the wild driving home Friday afternoon.
It was white white a tan interior. Looked good but Infiniti is dead. The 3.5 TTV6 is intriguing though. Maybe Honda will use it in something?
