2025 Infiniti QX80
Can’t wait for the ensuing hugggge 100k+ luxury BOF comparison!!! There will be a bunch of them.
From what I’ve seen this is more of an Escalade fighter than Denali.
I think this is probably Infiniti’s best vehicle in years.

Spoiler
Infiniti desperately needs this to be a big hit. Ultra competitive segment.
Agree on both counts. GM rules this segment.
I don’t even think GM itself realizes how smart of a move it is to leave
V8 power alone. Eventually that’s gonna be it, just GM until other automakers start bringing V8s back slowwwwwly.
Any full size powerful BOF is going to get 11-13MPG in city driving. That’s just all there is to it lol. No matter what ICE engine is powering it.
GM realizing this from the start, smart thinking.

I was kinda bummed I didn't get to see the new QX today. I was there for an oil change but the showroom wasn't opened yet by the time they got me out of there. I'd like to at least see one and sit in it. I love the pics I've seen.
My son's latest issue of Car & Driver just arrived yesterday so I was reading through it and about halfway in there is a 3-4 page review of the QX80. While it seems they love the exterior and interior styling and upgrades (and I personally agree), there are several comments about ride quality being pretty horrible, especially given the price tag this is trying to command. 2 comments from their "Counterpoints" section of the article:
"Have you ever wondered what it's like to drive a waterbed? Sporting bushings seemingly engineered by Pillsbury, the body will jiggle over the smallest inconsistency and find another reason to jiggle more."
Another comment says "Inside, the driver and passengers are jostled like ice cubes in a cocktail shaker. Sure, it looks great, but a $115k luxury SUV should pamper its occupants, not rattle their guts."
Through the article they compare it to the Wagoneer and Navigator; and seem to recommend both of those options for the more luxurious ride. As a QX80 owner (2021), I have been very happy with the SUV, especially the ride quality on road trips. Since I don't love the antiquated styling of ours, I was hopeful that these new ones would be a homerun and perhaps upgrade to one in a couple years. But maybe it's better that the market feels it's a flop so I can get a better deal on one. Regardless, I plan on test driving one soon.

This isn't as impressive as I first thought, and not because of just that. I've been seeing lots of lukewarm reviews, and in person these don't look as good as in pictures. Escalade killer? Hah.
It's also half a second slower to 60 than the V8 model it replaces despite purporting to have much more power and much, much more torque. Real world gas mileage will be a wash.

Nobody buying a huge SUV like this cares about 0-60 time. The previous model felt very lethargic in throttle inputs, I rented one for a week. This will feel better and peppier driving it around town even if its slower 0-60 at WOT. Fuel mileage is also obviously much better.
Obviously not an "Escalade killer", but its a viable alternative for people who want an asian vehicle.
