Default Bugatti's new V16

Even as V12s gradually die across the industry, Bugatti just introduced a new V16 to the world. It will be the first production engine of this configuration in 80+ years.

Just watched it. Jason is so good at explaining this stuff. I didn't realize how different the power bands were between the Veyron and Chiron.

This vid also reminds me of the Devel 16 but that can't really be considered a production car.

jason is great... he also didn't skip a beat at 2:25 in the vid when mentioning how the turbos were 69 (nice) percent larger lmao

The current W16 was never a great sounding engine.
Very happy about the new V16 which will probably sound a lot better and hopefully the car will not be heavier.

Credit to Bugatti for developing the V16 - the rules don’t apply to the top 1% while the regular folk have to be happy with hybrids and 4cyl turbos replacing V8s.

"Embrace the change". Lol

16 cylinders for me and not for thee. Haha

Yeah, no I will not embrace a down sized turbo engine.
Sorry, can't do it.

Big engines or EV's.

Hate to break it to you, but this is for a hybrid. 1000hp from an 8.3L NA V16, plus another 1000hp from two electric motors. Total system output ~1850hp.

If old man Piech was still alive he'd try to figure out a way to stuff this engine inside a Jetta.

He would be screaming over the fact they didn't just take the 1800hp variant of the W16 and THEN tack on the electric stuff lol!

He was all about stupid levels of overkill, aka perfect!

I know its a hybrid but they could have taken the easy route and did a V8.
The W16 with the quad turbos was never a great sounding motor. I think this new one will sound so much better bec its NA and the electric motors will provide the additional power.

New 911 will have similar setup going back to NA flat 6 that’s hybrid while removing turbos.
