I’ve been seeing a lot of ads on TV and on Instagram for the Honda accord hybrid. Isn’t Toyota getting looked at for the same misleading claims about range/EV range? Am I missing some nuanced difference?

Nope Honda is only going with a regular hybrid on the Accord for now.

Then I don't see the problem with stating hybrid range. Didn't Toyota try to gaslight (appropriate term) everyone by saying their plug-in hybrids are self charging?

As of a year ago I needed help to know what the difference was between a PHEV and BEV and etc.

EV means electrical vehicle to noobs. Lol

What was misleading if I can ask?

That lady does look photoshopped into there.

 

Toyota wasn't called out because of that image or others like it, was because of this.

@LeX2K was the one I reached out to and school me on the difference between all these hybrids, plug ins, and etc.

 

Maybe I'm missing something but it states hybrid, not plug-in hybrid or electric. Might be confusing for people not sure of the differences between hybrid/PHEV/BEV?
