I'm trying to picture this car in white or red or blue or other colors but I think black looks best for this car.

Might change my mind but that's where I'm at now.

That's a great car to have especially here in South Florida. Congratulations.

Niiiiice! Hold on to it. Watching the auctions on TV the other day, corvettes of all types and years were bringing in top dollar and then some. Except for those years where they had the smogged down motors with less than 200 horsepower, just about every corvette will end up as an investment. If it’s ever going to be sold make sure now, to start saving ‘original’ things related to it, service records, dates and mileage for everything done to it.

Did you consider LC500?
If you ever get a chance to drive a C8, do it! It's a very different feel from any of the cars I've had and a big difference even from my RCF as well. I did consider the LC500 but for the price and what you get, the Corvette is a clear winner. The LC looks great and is luxurious, but it is lacking too much in performance for the price, even the RCF has better performance.

Yeah I've driven an LC and have at least sat in a C8 and got to rev it... Even just sitting in that car, you know it's a different beast from the LC. I love the LC - it drives great and is a beautiful grand-touring coupe, but the C8 is a sports car. When that small-block turns over, you feel it twisting the car - something you can't really say about the LC. The 2UR is a sweet engine, but it's not in the same kind of chassis as the Corvette.

Honestly, I'd be hard-pressed to choose between the two if you put both of them in front of me with the same miles for the same price. Like, I could get enjoyment out of both cars. I'd probably lean towards the C8 just because it is going to be that extra bit more exciting, but man... the LC is not half bad either. It's just a different vibe. If the LC were a little faster or high-performance somehow I'd definitely choose it.

i've actually just been driving the C8 Z06 in forza motorsport, haven't used the standard stingray yet, and i don't know if this is just the game being stupid but i hated driving that Z06! it's normal for a mid engine car to be less forgiving on the limit but even factoring that in the Z06 was a total nightmare when pushed to the edge of its capabilities... bad understeer the moment you go near the gas, which could randomly and unexpectedly switch to catastrophic oversteer... which could be fine if there was consistency but there's not!

on this clip i was already pointing strait coming out of tertre rouge when out of nowhere the car just immediately spun out on me lol

^ whoa haha! not to derail the topic but now i see how closely a car handles in a game can translate to real world impressions. of course nothing beats the real thing, but i'm also sure driving dynamics in the game are also accurate.

to the OP, congrats on a nice ride!

I agree, the C8 is a completely different beast and like you say, it's a true sports car, borderline supercar now the way they made it lol... the 2UR is a great engine and extremely reliable, I love it in my RCF but yeah, both the LC and RCF are just grand touring coupes, not true sports cars but put that 2UR in a better, lighter chassis and it would make a huge difference.

lol I haven't played Forza yet but I'm going to say it might not be all that accurate. I haven't driven the C8 Z06 but I can tell you the Stingray handles like a dream... on rails... lol. It's very impressive and the grip this thing has is phenomenal. I know the Z06 has quite some more hp but it also has wider wheels and wider body and better suspension too, I believe, so I don't see it handling much worse than the Stingray, if anything it might handle better.

i've never heard of such real world negativity lol so yea i'm gonna pin that on the game (the "simulator") getting it wrong... people even say some of the stock tunes in that game have suspension settings that are way out of wack too

the flat plane crank n/a V8 makes the Z06 especially interesting to me since it's now the closest thing to a modern ferrari 458, but that also makes it less 'merica than the stingray lol

Thanks, I actually thought about doing the "Museum delivery" they have available when I submitted the order since it was about $1500 but then they also charge you the destination freight charge which is $1700 and I thought that was just a rip off since the plant is basically across the street from the museum. If I pay for me to go to them to pick up the car, the least they can do is not charge the delivery fee too. I get it's the experience and the tour of the museum but damn, you're paying $1500 for it and then they're going to rape me with the freight charge too to drive the car across the street? I just couldn't do it... but I'll visit the museum one day and pay the 20 bucks to get in lol it really does look like a good place to visit.
