Looks like some pics of the C6 "under construction" have found their way to the net.
From what I can tell, its looking good so far. Not 100% sure on the front end yet, but I think it will grow on me. I remember when the C5 came out, I didnt like it at all, but after seeing out on the road, I fell in love with it.
Interesting... The straight on front reminds me of an RX-8 and something about the front - side view looks a bit Viperish. Back end is pure Corvette, though.
I definitely see a Viper resemblance in the front clip, too. I'll have to wait to see a finished one with wheels, lights, etc. to make a final opinion.
Definately see 1st gen viper in the front and am really loving the overall shape. front doesn't look too "pontiac-ish" like it did in some other pics. When will the final result be reveiled? I can't wait to see whats going under the hood. My dad has a C5 right now and loves it to death, from the looks of things this should be an improvement.
Damn. That front is hot. Finally some fixed headlights. Bet this thing will go like stink. Kind of has to now in a world where $78,000 Mercedes sedans are pulling low 4 0-60's and trapping upwards of 117 MPH. Hope the new base vette at least comes close to E55 numbers and the new Z06 starts to compete a bit better with the Viper in a straight line.
had to satisfy my own curiosity and see it with wheels, then one thing led to another pardon the slopiness but this might give us a better idea of the final outcome.
Thank you GStrance for the chop. Really brings it all together for me. The tunnels from the headlights to the cockpit look sooooo aggressive. Love it! Like the OE rims and the sharper air inlets up front are cool too!
