If you REALLY want an ultra-crisp and easy-shifting manual transmission and clutch, get a FWD Honda product from the 80s or 90s...or a Mazda Miata of just about any year. These transmissions are so fumble-proof that you can pretty much shift them blindfolded.

Agreed, Hondas are the best feeling cable shifters I've felt! Very crisp and quick

My BMW Roadster had a nice feeling manual.
It was a well built strong car but I only wished it was faster.

Anotherwords, they "look" faster than they really are, if that makes any sense. Lol

Finally some love for Honda manuals

I think any car enthusiasts who hasn’t experienced a manual definitely should. Then again are you really an enthusiast is you haven’t owned a manual?🧐
It doesn’t matter if it’s quick or slow, it’s just plain ole fun!!

Yes, I've sampled a lot of 70s/80s/90s-vintage 4, 5, and 6-speed Honda FWD manuals. (My brother owned three of them, and I test-drove many others.) IMO, the best FWD-linkage and smooth clutch-action on the planet (The Mazda Miata's is also superb, but is RWD). You can shift them blindfolded.

Manuals will almost go forever.
Some basic stuff like a clutch is a fast repair, usually in and out of the shop in a day.

An automatic has a much shorter life span and so much more to go wrong.

Literally across the street.....
Literally across the street.....
My usual station near my shop on 71

Quite odd for diesel to be the cheapest option but I'm not going to complain. 93 is pricy this week but these interstate stations are about .70 higher than near my house

Throwing an Oz of this in every tank, way more than I need with only a 14.2 gal fill but eh.

God this thing is so slow. Stage 2 tune incoming lol

Wife is also trolling me with a hoonigan wheel cover. It will probably drive me insane in a week....Just over 1/8 tank used to cover 113.7 miles, the only thing I can't seem to fix on this car is the clock adjustment. It simply doesn't work and I'm close to just pulling the battery off at noon to force it to the correct time.

If it was built in Germany, they are a few hours behind us at Eastern Standard Time so it's probably correct.

Yes but the engines have much greater expansion ratios than gas engines on top of higher average cylinder pressure.

Car sat for 9 days when I was away, no leaks and started easily!

Holy hell it's slow.

Spoiler

Turns out I'm just an idiot, you need to turn and hold the adjuster stick for a second for it to actually change!

I wish the car was German.....it's Mexican. Only the wagons are German made

Actually, Margate, you have it backwards. Time zones jump forward, not back, as you go East from the East Coast of the U.S. Germany, on the average, is about six hours or so ahead of us.

Compared to your Audi V12, I'm sure it is. 😄
