My salesman said the lease deals this month are terrible for some reason and that we should wait to talk until next month. I would likely wait for the refresh unless they just offered me a killer deal on a 24.

I still don't feel that its a huge upgrade from my S560, but if I'm only going to keep the S560 maybe a year or so and they can make me an S580 deal that is somewhat similar to my S560 deal it makes sense to just upgrade. I like the S580e, but I just don't like the feel of the 6 cyl when its not in EV only mode at low speeds.

Here also is my concern about keeping what I have, this is a 2018-2020 S560 with front air suspension failure that was clearly towed in and put up on blocks in the lot:

there is no guarantee that your air suspension will fail. What is the cost to repair the air suspension?

Thats why I would get a warranty. Depends on whats wrong with it, struts are $1,200 a corner, computers are $2,500...it could cost a lot. Its not so much the cost as me just not wanting to deal with that kind of thing.

No, it's a ploy to throw us off so that we're surprised when he brings home a CT-5 blackwing.

I passed a black S580 on the way to work today. That color looks just right with the grille. I would, however, never own a black car in Las Vegas. I went white with a white interior for a reason.

The one I drove today was black, I love it in black but they are just too much work to keep nice. I would have to have the whole thing PPF’d.

Worth it, there's something about a black S-class.

also @SW17LS I think with your typical ownership/lease term, I would probably go ICE/PHEV for the next one and a last hoorah with ICE while EV's get to that range and charging level that make your trips less stressful.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too.

@SW17LS is not ready for EV yet, IMO... 🧐

I think you are probably right, the PHEV is a better solution for me. The lease rates are way better on the 580 right now though we’ll see how they do. I’m going to ride it out until November unless I’m presented with a great deal so I can get the refresh if I don’t stay in mine.

Unfortunately they raised the warranty rates 2/1 which cost me about $800.

Having another TT V8 as your final ICE wouldn't be a bad way to go out.

Probably not, but I might do the dark blue or the rubellite red.
