They literally did nothing lol, same non runflat tires, didnt remove the wiring for the dashcam or the subwoofer, didnt even remove the tint. Just marked it up $9k...

Yep. When we sold the IS350 to the dealer the brakes were rubbing. The car wasn't in great shape, maybe average. All they cared about is if the a/c was good. They came to me and just took it away.

Marked it up $7,000 and didn't fix anything except I'm sure a rotor and pads that were cheap Pep Boys level bad.

It needed all KINDS of paint work etc. Mechanically it was fine but it was crappy. They didn't do anything exterior wise to bring it up to snuff. It was gone in a day, probably because it was a rarer 2gen 350.

Was the grill on the white one always darker?

I noticed that too when I would look for 2nd gen 350's. If one would pop up in the Philadelphia area it was gone super fast. This is years ago before covid insanity.

They were rare birds. Still are.

 

Got a nice surprise in the mail today. My insurance company will change me a $1500 surcharge for my 21 4Runner do to theft reasons. If I install a sequence coded starter it will be waved.

Is this a Canadian auto insurance thing? I've never heard of an auto ins company saying, "If you don't do x we're charging you $1,500"

CAA which is the Canadian version of AAA. It is high on the list of thefts

 

Apparently back in 2017, it was #1 and #2 in Canada. But it didn't make the top 10 in 2023

That said, this poor bastard had his 2020 stolen TWICE, in the same month!

 

I've got a feeling they didn't fix the pinched seal. Whoever buys your S560 has an expensive out of warranty repair on deck.

 

Wow I had no idea the 4R was stolen that often. I knew Kia/Hyundai were stolen a lot.
