They have gotten better, but the V12 Jags of that era specifically just had a terrible reputation for reliability, once they were bought by Ford reliability improved
Yup, I watched that. Luckily the 222s are way more reliable than the 221s. Highlights how important it is to stay up on the maintenance and repairs for these cars
After Ford bought them out, reliability and assembly-quality improved somewhat, but they have never been in the same reliability-class as, say, the better Japanese or Korean products.
I can’t stand people who pull into a gas station and don’t pull through to the first pump.
That is all
The worst.
I see they're really bad about pump etiquette at Costco as well, ignoring the indicators showing there's an empty pump, or lacking common sense and pulling up and getting out at Pump 2 when it's very obvious the guy at the first pump is going to leave in 5 seconds. I always fold my mirrors in while i'm gassing up at Costco, i've seen some real close calls from some of the rich wine moms here driving SUV's much larger than they're clearly comfortable with.

that's a scary thought that you need to be bought out by ford to become reliable... a V12 jag has won le mans (XJR-9) so we know it can be good for at least 24 hours haha
it was definitely time for that engine to die though just because of how abysmal its output figures are! a 6.0 literlitre V12 that makes only 320 hp and 330 ft-lbs as recently as the mid 1990s is just a gas guzzling boat anchor

This particular one, people were sitting at the two closest pumps with nobody at the pump ahead of them, and she and I both had to wait. Even though she was made to wait when she didnt have to, she still did the same thing!
