You'd have to be crazy to pay $65k for a new TRD Pro Tacoma when you could get a Ranger Raptor for quite a bit less.

Truck prices are getting ridiculous and more complex with all the new turbos and tech.

As noted above, the Ranger Raptor is $10k cheaper than the TRD pro, yet has twice as many turbos.

I do agree with the core sentiment that truck prices have gotten crazy.

Correct. I will admit I'm guilty of watching these "doom ****" car/truck market videos.

I get revved a lot by older WRX STis. They typically have loud exhaust and a noisy blow off valve. Perhaps they mistake my car for a Civic Type R, but that’s only a mistake one could make if they have never actually seen a Type R or are generally not very observant.

Even today, while much better than in the 1970s, smog still remains a problem in that region.
I grew up in SoCal in the 70s and 80s which were brutal for smog. The brown haze was a real problem then. When I was a kid and training for and playing soccer, we would get a lung burn. The brown haze happens now and then, but mostly, it’s so much improved. I am not sure it’s the most polluted region anymore. We do still have a lot of traffic. EVs are more prevalent as are LEV and ULEV ICE cars. We have a lot more crystal clear days where you can appreciate the beauty of the mountains that cut across north of LA county and the Inland Empire. I am a fan of the progress.

as much as I really can’t stand Ford. it’s great that they offer two V6 engines. I never knew they were twin turbo,

I have modified the exhaust on my F-150 to be a bit louder than stock. All of the factory emissions equipment is still in place and fully functional. I just replaced the stock muffler with a magnaflow and replaced the resonator with a straight pipe. Gives it a much better V8 rumble that was suppressed by the stock exhaust.
