Wow, looks like another great design from Hyundai.
I agree with everyone that the taillights are way too low, the minibus look

Great interior. I just can't get past the tail lights, not sure those will ever grow on me.

Here's Why The 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe’s Taillights Are So Low

I spoke with the Santa Fe’s lead designer, SangYup Lee, and he explained that the taillights are positioned low down on the crossover in order to make the tailgate as wide as possible, and it’s definitely wide. It almost looks like it covers the entire rear of the car. In order to make the tailgate that wide, you need to make the struts holding up the tailgate as long and skinny as possible. It’s all about making the “gray zone” – the area between the shut line and the sill of the Santa Fe’s trunk – as small as you can.

In fact, those struts are so long that they are actually mounted where taillights would usually be placed, according to Lee. They’re situated in a much more upright way than struts on other tailgates. That means the taillights gotta move, and lower down on the body is the answer Hyundai designers came up with.....

each to their own, i think the utility in it is huge though, and it's unique at least in a sea of similar uv's

I'm disappointed by the powertrain options. 0-62mph in 8 seconds for the gas engine and 9.5 seconds for the hybrid? Yuck. I guess they figured their customers won't care.

Absolutely. Show me another car in this class that has power steering wheel tilt and telescope. Hyundai isn't messing around with this redesign.

For the turbo engine?? These are the specs for the '23 gas engine choices:

The 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe 0-60 is achieved in 8.5 seconds with the standard powertrain. The 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe is powered by a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated inline-4 which produces 191 hp and 181 lb-ft of torque. The Santa Fe Limited and higher trims get a 2.5-liter turbo-4 under its hood which generates 277 hp and 311 lb-ft and does the 0-60 MPH sprint in just 6.3 seconds.

I like the interior a lot. Hyundai/Kia can't seem to commit to a full pano roof for some reason.

That is odd. I have one in my '19 Santa Fe. Maybe because of the exploding pano S/R lawsuits?
