Lucid Gravity Announced

- The new Lucid Gravity heralds the dawn of a new era for electric Sport Utility Vehicles: an unprecedented combination of attributes previously unseen in a single vehicle and a projected range in excess of 440 miles.¹
- Lucid innovations in EV technology and packaging deliver an expansive, luxurious interior for up to seven adults and their belongings, without the huge exterior and poor maneuverability often associated with traditional full-size, three-row SUVs.
- Featuring a brand-new SUV platform and next generation of Lucid’s award-winning, proprietary electric powertrain, Gravity will deliver an exhilarating driving experience.
- Lucid proved its capability in producing an extraordinary, acclaimed luxury EV sedan; now Gravity opens Lucid to the far larger SUV market.
- Lucid Gravity lands in late 2024. As with Lucid Air, pricing for Gravity will start under $80,000.²
There’s a lot to like about Lucid vehicles, and this one looks great. Probably a bigger market for this than the Air. That said, they need smaller, less costly vehicles. This will still be a tough sell relative to the competition.
The price is just way too high IMHO. If I'm paying $80K, it's tried and true Model X
I'm just not a big fan of Lucid's styling in general. Perhaps it'll grow on me but I don't really love the Air. I respect the engineering tho and I like that they are moving into higher margin product categories, hopefully it means they will still exist in a few years.

first 30 seconds of throttle house video is hilarious.

The Lucid is still experimental IMO. It's software is still half baked. It's hardware is still buggy. Where do I service it if something goes wrong?
the X seems very old compared to this. and the number of problems owners have is huge. i was interested in one but... no.
The X is a known quantity. It's tried and true. It's software is robust, I know where to get it serviced (and the fact it will get serviced), and I know exactly what I'm getting for my money

See my answers above. Bottom line is, I have no idea if Lucid will even be around in the next 5 years. The only thing keeping that ship from sinking is Saudi Money, which is bound to dry up eventually. I know exactly what I'm getting in a Model X. And if I'm spending $80K plus, I want to invest in a winner. I don't gamble
It's nothing but eye candy Bling. It's what I absolutely hated about the i7, they are hiding their shortcomings behind giant screens with too much going on. I mean this is more screens than our engineers have on their desks LoL
