Default Auto transport services?

I'm buying a GS430 about 700 miles away from me and don't have the time to drive it home. Plus, it's super overdue for a timing belt. I'm going to have the car shipped to me and was wondering if anyone can recommend transport companies that they have had recent experience with? I've never done this before and am quickly realizing it can be a pretty shady world. I've gotten quotes from a few brokers that seem to have good reviews and they're all coming in around $1/mile. I'm aware that there are transport companies that run their own trucks/drivers rather than brokering services. I haven't requested quotes from them but I'm assuming they'll be quite a bit more expensive and, quite frankly, I'm only paying $4k for the car so it's not like it needs the enclosed trailer white glove treatment alongside exotics and restored classics. I just want the car to show up without any last minute BS or sudden over charges. The broker I'm currently leaning towards is Dekt Logistics so just wondering if anyone else has used them or if you guys have someone else you prefer. Thanks

I used Plycar to move my Porsche from Washington State to California in 2021. It was excellent, I recieved pictures of it when it was picked up, and along the way I had GPS of the location of the car and a direct line to the driver if needed. I've read that Jay Leno uses them to transport his car collection.

Definitely get quotes from companies that run their own rigs.

I've used Montway 3 times. While the vehicles always arrived intact, the last time was a nightmare just in getting the car picked up (as they switched drivers) and it was delivered in the dark while raining. The first 2 times were great though.

Nice buy on the GS - good luck!

Thanks for the replies guys. For better or worse, I'll be driving it back now. The issue with not having the time to do it was because our dog was in declining health. We ended up having to put her to peace last week so I can actually leave the house for more than a few hours at a time now ...

That's what I'm thinking too.
Need to call a few places and feel them out.

And, don't let them jack you around.

I needed my car transported out of state and several companies tried to tack on an expedite fee because I needed it done within a week.

Nonsense, either they can schedule it on or they can't, it's a scammy upsell.
