I agree, I've change my mind since I wrote that. I took a second look at the Model X, and the falcon wings are a no go for me. I don't care about the luxury, Model X is comfortable, but its unnecessarily heavy...due the falcon wings. The only thing keeping me away from EV9 is still having to deal with a dealership
besides weight, was there anything functionally you don't like about the falcon doors on the X?

They are just show pieces, they open and close extremely slow, and they had to reinforce them with pillars which block obstruct your side views. Completely unnecessary. Had they just put a regular sliding door (or just a regular door), it would be one of my favorite SUV's

ha. just watched this demo. they don't seem slow to me. oh and this red looks awesome.
Maybe they fixed it, when I opened them when I did the test drive, they were slow. Also I've ridden as a passenger in several of them, and the doors are really slow to open and close. Several owners have told me that they occasionally get stuck, and they have to go into the app (or screen) to close them.
Anyway, they add a lot of weight to the car due the reinforced pillars, and they block your side views. Test drive one for the kicks and you will see what I mean. Other than that and moving the horn to a button, it drives awesome. Just put regular door on them, and I would love it
