50-60 yards? not far then. were there many cars in the lot? and any cars moving?
but glad it works!
my car doesn't have anything like summon but can do self-parking but i've never used it.
Lot was packed which is why I could only do 50-60 yards. I had to find an open area for it to pick me up and there were only a handful of open parking spots. It navigated a stop sign, turned on the turn signal, executed the turn, and came straight to me. I did it a second time a couple hours later - slightly more distance. Stop sign, 2 cars passed by and it waited for them to pass (appropriately; they didn't have a stop sign). For those who use and are comfortable with FSD, you watch with confidence knowing the car knows what to do. I did not feel anxious that it was going to make a mistake.
The top speed is like 6mph, so in some cases it might annoy a driver that is behind it because it's going a bit slower than what you might expect in a not-so-crazy lot. Being with my 12 year old son and watching this did make me take a step back and appreciate how far we've come in a very short period of time. It's pretty remarkable.. and that's coming from someone who uses FSD on occasion. I know the car can drive itself, it's just weird to think about it not having anyone inside. Adds a different level.

great story and perspective. so yes we've come so far so fast, and it's only going to get better.
i can't wait until i can take the (BORING) trip from n. central fl to sw florida without paying attention.
Last night I was talking to one of my friends who has a 2018 Model 3. He said when he first bough it 6 years ago he got 226 miles on a full charge. He told me today he gets around 214 miles. 12 mile loss in 6 years is not bad

I remember when my 3P struggled with the earlier versions of summon. I had to draw the path for it to take and hold down the button for it to come and it still struggled to move smoothly. This latest version is nothing short of amazing

When it gets good enough to go do my errands for me, I'm sold. Lol

Spoiler
I'd never leave the house. 🏝️
for years i've had to get a bunch of 40lb bags of salt every few months for my softener cleaner. royal pain. then i discovered instacart... i'll pay a little extra to have it show up at the house. even better, if i order at 10pm, they'll deliver by 7am!! not self-driving, but who cares.

That is impressive. I continue to be amazed at how FSD handles the exit of my neighborhood. I've detailed it before, but you have to creep up slightly past the painted stop line on the pavement in order to see oncoming traffic from your left (due to some plants and bushes that obstruct the view a little). FSD has always done it masterfully, including doing it when the light is a blinking red as opposed to a steady red. You can tell the car realizes it can't "see" the oncoming traffic fully, so it inches up until it can. It's very cool.
