I very recently test drove a brand new Q7 and it would have gotten a very low rating from me simply due to the fact it was below my personal standards......
These surveys are difficult to parse since some people have no taste, no ability to check or under fit/finish, have different definitions of "acceptable quality", and quite frankly may not pay good attention to all aspects. I don't pay them much heed at all, I pass judgments by putting my own hands and eyes on a car.
I had to look up what a Q7 interior looks like. Personally, I’ve never really liked that vehicle
It's functionally very good. Easy to work on with a huge engine bay in the first generation.....but overall kind of cheap feeling for the price tag. The new gen was not my preference but the refresh first gen is
The V12 size engine bay is freaking great with only a 6 in it, huge amounts of room!

Tesla door handles are so notoriously unreliable that there are service technicians that do absolutely nothing but work on door handles. That's not the type of thing I've ever heard of from any other brand.
Not surprising.....Elon Musk always did have a problem getting a handle on things.
V12 TDI, 550hp 1000tq with a tune. One of the most awesome engines ever made but euro only, best we got was the V10 TDI. I'm not insane enough to own either of those....
What doesn't make much sense on that list, at least IMHO, is Chrysler and Dodge being at the extreme opposite ends of the spectrum, especially considering that the 300, Charger, and Challenger all come from the same platform and use many of the same components. Perhaps the Pacifica skews the Chrysler results to some extent....Dodge no longer sells a minivan.

OK. I was thinking of the gas. Never considered a V12 diesel. Ugh…Lexus has always been so FAR behind.

Which is why they lose so many customers on an annual basis. The new SUV's may sell fine in the first year or two, but after that it'll be par for the course with them.
I'm just not sure how I feel about initial quality tests.
Still debating about it in my mind... lol
With most buyers, the fewer problems they have with their new vehicles, even in the first few months, the happier they are likely to be with them. And even the worst build-quality of today's vehicles in the IQS is nothing like the junk I saw from GM and Chrysler in the late 1970s and early 80s....when Lee Iacocca and Roger Smith were trying to smooth-talk the public. I've gone into detail about that in other threads....I won't repeat it here.
I think their regular gas engine tech is really behind. A lack of a V12 was a major omission. A Lexus never had a V8 twin turbo whereas the Germans have had them for 15-20 years.
