To be clear, my R1S is still faster from a stop My SUV just isn't setup to deliver the same driving experience as the m60. Also, he drives like a maniac lol

He? You mean the Rivian? Putting down over 600 hp (or is that 800?) Is not trivial

Haha, nah my friend with the X5 M60i. Rivian's putting down 835HP but weighs a tick over 7K pounds.

Anyway, lets end this. It's kind of silly arguing about this
My car isn't a sports car and the tune/bolt ons were under 3k. Plus my car has far more features and is objectively superior in all performance metrics and I can drive it for 186k miles with the difference in price so your MPG advantage doesn't matter at all. I still have lower cost of ownership with a superior car.

You are right, it is silly to compare a flagship to a mainstream car.

The X is a decent SUV for what it is, it's just really expensive for what you get and is very locked down. Not much you can do to change it and you never truly own it due to software restrictions and I have a fundamental issue with that. If they fix that then I will change my stance completely

Then alter the program? I did it for my shift mapping in my car on a laptop at home....be my guest and do the same in an EV.

You're post here tells me with all due respect that you really don't know anything about electric cars. I've humiliated so many expensive sports cars, modded cars and so called "fast cars" (German, American and Japanese, doesn't matter) I lost count LoL 😆. It used to thrill me to see their shocked faces, now it's totally normal to me. Now hopefully we can move on

Very nice and honest review 1111gs, enjoyed it

What you thinking it needs to feel good at that price tag?

Euro styling and some bling and maybe some leather & wood trims?

Haha! Same experience, I love accelerating away from the Dodge Charger thats riding my *** on the freeway. I usually never see them again after I put a quarter mile gap on them.

Big problem for us hot climate dwellers. The glass itself is very good at rejecting infrared heat like tinted glass. However, it does tend to absorb heat and acts feels like a giant radiator on your head. I added a reflective sun shade on the roof and it's a big help. That and preconditioning the cabin makes it pretty tolerable in the summer heat.

Full glass roof is pretty awesome for most months of the year though.

It's also a service center so some might be customers' but it'd be strange if that's where they park customers' cars. There were a Y and an X in the showroom but they had all flavors. I sat in both and decided to take the X. I was also thinking about the S but maybe next time. IMO...

Plus::
The biggest surprise is 3rd rows are quite comfortable. With the captain chairs set up, it's convenient to get back there. But if you don't need them and want them folded, I read it may cause some unwanted noise and 2nd row needs to be moved forward.
Cool wings
AC system: nice and strong.
Big screen can be tilted to driver, passenger or straight. This is nice. It makes touching screen less troublesome.
Suspension: This thing comes with 22" but air suspension makes it ride so freaking smooth and quiet. It's a bit too smooth for me. I felt a bit dizzy even when set to sport. I like to feel the road.
It's definitely cool to see all the cars around you on the cluster.

Minus:
It doesn't feel like you're in 100k car.

The biggest is the yolk. What in the world were they thinking? Going out from a parking lot to a traffic street never felt so scary. I wanted to do some more aggressive testing but it scared me.
Interior does not match the price tag. But seats feel fine.
The cluster is too tiny. Navigation does the job but again could be better for the price tag.
I feel isolation could be better. I could hear noise from outside.
Glass roof continued from the windshield: I'm surprised that it's not an issue for customers. I could feel the heat and light from the sun. This is a no no for my wife. She can not stand the sun hitting her from above.

Other notes:
Acceleration (): I was expecting this thing would just fly. 3.8 didn't seem as fast as I anticipated. I'm by no mean a speeder but coming from low 5s, I thought 3.8 would fly. Honestly I didn't quite feel it's faster. It doesn't respond as aggressive as my 40i in S+. Maybe I need to floor it?
On the cluster when stopped, the car icon just moves left and right from the lane. Does this have a meaning?

Audio: Maybe there's some setting but if your phone and rear entertainment are both activated, when one is turned on, the sound only comes from the selected zone.
I have my phone connected but I didn't get any text notification.
Signaling: Not having a stalk is kind of weird but those two buttons do the job fine. The car is smart enough to know if you're done changing lane or in turning lane to turn it off or keep signaling on.
One foot driving is convenient.
Interface seems fine like using an iPad

Final words: It's a nice transportation.
perhaps you didn’t have the acceleration mode in its fastest setting.

You may be right but to be fair in case like this only one driver is ready for that moment. And what if the other one wasn’t interested in racing?
i did push and push several times while driving. Trust me I wanted to experience the instant power some of you have been saying. It wasn’t there for me though.

must be. If I go again, I will check on this. But 0-60 is not really my thing. As long as it’s fast enough, it’s good for me. I was just reporting my experience.

As it should be based off the published numbers. Acceleration during driving doesn’t seem to be the case due to the design mindsets? But again how much can one really feel about 1s difference?

It was most likely in "Chill Mode", which pulls back on power and acceleration. Even my Y you can feel the instant torque in your head and stomach. But thank you for that review!
