The first teaser for the USDM Land Cruise has been posted on Instagram! Of course, the model itself isn't teased, just the return and logo. But starting this thread for discussion!

Of course, why wouldn't it? They'll sell every single one they send over here, just like before.

I knew that was BS when they "cancelled" it.

they will likely screw up the pricing, marketing, and other things not related to the vehicle itself. the land cruiser is designed for a global market so it will need to be catered to our market carefully.

All Toyota has to do is throw every luxury gizmo at it, not a big deal.

We are excessive to the rest of the world.

I'm confused, I thought the global version of the new Land Cruiser had already been out for a few months already?

As been mentioned in this forum many times by @Carmaker1 the Land Cruiser is NOT the global Land Cruiser. It is a GX/Prado-based model designed first for the US with retro/FJ-inspired styling cues. And looks like it will be sold in Europe as well.

Thank you for keeping everyone here up to date. It's been a long time coming, when I first learned about this in October 2019 via MPLexus301/Gecko. People have dismissed this for years, now they have their proof once again.

It's good to have healthy skepticism, but being stubbornly obtuse toward what's actually happening does you no favors.

Toyota has been backlogged, but they've been hard at work since 2013 putting thjs altogether for TNGA-F vehicles. It took 11 years to execute everything.

So, where does the new 4Runner fit in? If this is GX/Prado in size, and the 4Runner remains GX/Prado in size, what's the differentiator?

LC will be more expensive, more exclusive, 4Runner will be cheaper and more mainstream

when is a land cruiser not a land cruiser?

so the 'new' one already available is on same platform as lx, right? but this new, new one for u.s. and europe will be based on gx.

is that about right?

talk about a confusing roll out!

and when will this new, new, gx-based LC get launched?

To be fair they only sent about 400 of them over a year, not hard to sell lol

Sorry if I'm slow, but just to understand correctly, the GX 550, Land Cruiser and new 4Runner will all be about the same size sharing a platform?
