Couple of days ago.,...in the Subway sandwich-shop. (they don't all hang out at donut shops LOL)

it's NOT HAPPENING.
Of course it's not happening. That's why you have a lot of annoyed officers. When you don't listen to your customers, they get irked.

Usually, they ride in the back seat of K-9 units.

So you need two cars and four officers to arrest to arrest one suspect. Super efficient use of resources.

The Crown Vic has been gone for over a dozen years now. Ford sold it until it was no longer legal to do so, and it made no sense to invest tens or hundreds of millions into a redesign for a vehicle which consisted of 100% low-margin fleet sales. It's time to move on, including in this thread, which is about the Explorer.

This makes no sense at all. Two cars and four officers for what? Nothing has really changed as far as seating arrangements and cargo capacity, except arguably a bit more. The only change is the layout of the vehicle and as marshall pointed out, police dogs ride in the back seat.

I might be wrong, but I really don't think anyone in this thread was saying that Crown Vics will be back as the official police vehicle. We're just discussing the fact that it was a mistake going to a problematic Explorer.
