I don’t know what it is but I love getting new tires. I don’t like paying for them but I just feel so confident when I get good tires vs the factory trash that comes with cars. I just replaced my Cayennes tires since I got new wheels and it just feels great.
I got some new wheels and tires about 2 months ago. Same 19s I have now that are takeoffs from a brand new Plaid that was getting custom wheels. Tires still have the new lines on the tread. A couple of my wheels have some curb rash from the previous owner. Paid a little less for the wheels and tires than I would for just the tires. Only thing is they are still the Pirellis and I know you don't get the mileage out of the factories tires that you do the same tire when you buy them aftermarket. But I wanted the new wheels and the price was too good. Plan to swap them out in a month or so.
Did you change your wheels? I thought you had the original 20". What size are these? Looks like smaller than 20". How are these tires compared to the OEM? I don't think I had this brand on any of my cars.

I love getting new tires as well, but yes, hate paying for them. These new Kumho's are way better than the OEM Continentals

It's pathetic that they put "crappy" tires on such a highly priced car. I totally can relate. My originals weren't bad. They look nice (Lol) but after about 10k, they were loud and rough. I took the bite and swapped out with non RF Michelins. It felt like I just got a different car. I always prefer Michelin tires. I remember one of my Lexus cars... I had to wait for it to come in from the port. I made sure I was getting Michelins. Well it didn't come with Michelins. The salesman had to get an approval from GM to swap them with another vehicle for me.

No, these are 19", I put the aero covers that make them look like 20"
These are much better than the factory installed Continentals, cheaper, and have a softer and quieter ride. Also better treadware

Good to know. Somehow I still remember a post (from Jeff?) saying something like... "Your wheels look great" when you posted a picture of your MY. I thought I saw stock 20" that day. Now I can give you a break on saying how comfortable yours is. And did you say the new MY was even more comfortable with the new suspension? Did your test drive have 20"?

Nope, I stuck with the 19" for better range. These are Aero covers from a company called Rimetrix (notice the pun?) that emulate the Tesla 20" wheels. They claim to add 5 percent more range, although I can't really verify that claim.
I test drove the 2026 with the Continental 19" wheels. And yes, the suspension was re tuned to be more comfortable. With the new suspension, the more rigid body and sound deadening, it's a huge step up from my Model Y. Kind of like going from a Camry to a Lexus ES
Today got to really test out the new Kumho tires, and they are most certainly quieter and softer than the stock Continentals they replaced. Hit about 90 mph briefly on a Bay area freeway and road noise was minimal, even though road surfaces on this particular stretch are not the best
