2023 NY Auto Show - Review & Pics
I will miss it this year but went last year and yea it's nowhere near as big of a show as it used to be. Its awful to see it this way honestly.
To fill up all the space in the Javits, they had a lot of indoor EV ride alongs on both floors. Did they do the same thing this year?

I will say that me and my son had to avoid lots of poop all over the sidewalks but that is the charm of NYC!

I didn’t try it because you can’t drive yourself lol
Pre Covid - The lower level used to be devoted to Suvs and Trucks now its just EV space and this year there were some JDM tuner cars.
The business model is vastly different with Rolex compared to even other watchmakers.
I think its a huge miss for Brands like MB, BMW, etc not to promote their products especially the EV models.
Even brands like Porsche still need to sell their boring cars - nobody is on a waitlist anymore to buy a Macan or Cayenne.
sure there is. porsche and ferrari to name two. waiting lists for both their high end models.
i think they're doing just fine. i somehow doubt many potential macan and cayenne buyers will actually or want to venture into the javits center if they were there.

I think its also a good opportunity to educate consumers on EVs and the range that certain models deliver. Porsche also offers several plug-in hybrids.

To think about it, this may be the reason why big brands decided to skip these shows. The "usual event goers" around these cars are usually not the usual buyers for sure. Kind of similar to what's going on here. We mostly talk/discuss about cars. Sometimes even on the ones we have no user experience or intention to buy.
