Question Toronto, ON - Spring Install on a IS350

Hey all,
Trying to find a mechanic to install my springs on my IS but every mechanic i have visited have been quoting me around $500.00+ for ONLY install. One mechanic told me its a 5 hours job at $90 an hour...does that seem correct to you all? Anyways, i feel like these guys are ripping me off...

If anyone knows a shop aroudn Toronto or GTA, please let me know.

Lexus dealerships are charging 100+ an hour for install... damn Canada is expensive...

Thanks!

Have you spoken to Andy or someone at Bullock City?

Don't quote me on this as it was like 3yrs ago but I believe it was like $400, all in, including the alignment which comes like a month later after the springs have had time to settle, etc.

Hey, if you find something, let me know as well... I'm also interested in eventually getting springs installed in my AWD 250.

I guess, the best bet would be to just start calling random tuner shops.

you could probably get it for around $300 or less even maybe $200 at Gilman Auto in Scarborough.

My independent mechanic charged me $400 for install only (I had to pay $90 for an alignment later). There are probably cheaper places to get it done but I think the $500 quote is not an unrealistic amount.

I believe its $150 for install at Advance Powerhouse, highly recommend the shop. I got my coilovers installed for $200. Talk to Edward, they have done alot of IS's.

Try the shop on Bullock that retails, they're right beside the LCBO. I remember them charging me 200 for install AND alignment together. They did a pretty good job, and knowledgeable.

find out if the rear seat needs to be removed as well as the parcel shelf which is why the quotes are so high.

It's alot of work.

500 seems right for a 5 hr job...
