Default GTA Newbie - With issues - ML no sound

Hey Folks, I just joined. I purchased an '03 GS430 from a Dr. here in TO about a month ago. I love the car however, I have a problem with my audio. Everything is operating, cd changer works, Radio functions work. I have absolutely no sound. Is this an amp issue. I had a tech take apart my amp and run tests. He can't figure it out. Has anyone had a similiar issue and what did you do to rectify the issue?
Thanks in advance.

Did he try swapping out the amp ?
Has it ever been in a rear end accident?
It sounds like a short in the wiring.
Have you tried wiggling the wires to the amp in the trunk ?
Is their any water in the trunk ?

It has never been hit nor is there water in the trunk. I think it is a short as well. We have tried everything. We cute the mute wires, we checked the amp's circuit board and the amperage was good. Thanks for the response, I'll keep digging.

For all who are experiencing the same symptoms as described in my original post, the amp ultimately was the issue. I have received a new re-manufactored amp and I finally have sound.

Glad we were atleast able to figure out it was the amp itself.
Where did you get it and how much ?
How are the new HID's and LED lights ?

What's up SK? Thanks for allowing me to single out the issue using your GS. I spoke to Ryan and in the end I had no other option than to purchase it through NW Lexus. They were great. I dropped it off on Monday and had the replaced amp in on Wednesday. Cost, it wasn't cheap. I'll give you the figure when I see you again. Speaking of, I was going to call you today so that we could talk about the IPOD converter. The new HID's and LED's are awesome. I get alot of response around the interior one's. Some say too bright but, I like them that way. Thanks for everything again, I'll call you later on today.
