Shipping to Canada RANT!
Well not a massive rant but I am pi$$ed.
I was some stuff when I was in Hawaii that I decided I wanted but my luggage was too full to bring more stuff back. No problem, there's website so cool. Today I go to place the order and find out that sure, they'll take my money but no they wont ship it to me. SHIP ME MY STUFF DAMN IT!
I'm not *****ing about shipping costs, I know it will cost more and all that, I just want the option to be able to BUY it.
(I'm being a girl, I'm ranting over a Juicy purse & terry summer track suit)
BUT I WANT IT
now I have to go down to Seattle on Tues or Wed ... not a big deal but I wasn't planning on going just now.

Anybody know if the Blaine border crossing still have the ridiculously high speed bump? Last year I went, I scraped and almost hung on it... it's stupid. Pt Roberts doesn't have this problem
neither did the truck crossing I believe, unless it added one recently....
Here are the 2 basic choices for shipping to Point Roberts.....

i think my car is if not same or lower than your car and i havent had a problem with the speed bumps.
ship to blaine. thats where i get most of my stuff.
I opened up a box at mailbox international. i think the cost was $10s yearly, and $2.50 to process each item through them.
other fees to think about, crossing into the US, you may need to pay a $10 (use to be $5 usd) "conducting business" each time u cross fee. for businesses, that cross often, they usually get a transponder attached to their car, and pay a yearly fee (use to be $250 usd). if u get an **** us guard, u will need to provide documentation eg, invoice for purchase of transponder, papers saying the transponder is registered, papers saying the transponder is registered to the certain vehicle you are driving...
when coming back, you declare it (since ur not doing this as a business, u go thru regular canadian customs). if they are nice, they let u thru, if u have a huge amount, they may get u to go in to file some papers (u need the invoice of the items you purchased, or a print out invoice if purchased on the net, paypal/ebay) and pay for gst, pst and if applicable, duty.

Can someone tell me what is the best way to ship a big tool box (1000 lbs) from US (Virginia) to Canada (Mississauga)? By a shipping company? Transport it myself ? What are the customs regulations? I am planning to move there in August. Thanks.
