Wow, it's really hard to steal one without a tow truck. Even then, it would require a bunch of other things to be changed in order for it to start.
I hope he finds it abandoned somewhere without damage....or hopefully just towed and the yard forgot to inform the police.

My friend don't really remember losing the key but looked like someone took the key and left with the car.
He didn't tell me exactly how he lost his car and didn't tell me where was it last parked...
he is just too busy riding around town to look for it in any park way LOL....

I can help you look for it in Winnipeg if that's where it's stolen.
Vancouver? Richmond? Surrey? etc? No one needs exact location, just around it would be good then we'll see if there's any spottings that day... but due to the time it have already been stolen, your friend will most likely not get it back....
Hope he gets full compensation.

of course GPS doesn't work...car thieves aren't dummies. the very first thing they probably did was disconnect the navi system to prevent tracking.
the ONLY way to track a stolen vehicle is to have a separate, stand alone aftermarket GPS tracking device, such as boomerang.

if thieves don't know about boomerang, they can't defeat it (it is installed in a hidden area of the car).

ouch.. it's an ISF too but even if the car is still in Greater Vancouver, there's quite a few black IS F out there, it's hard to tell which one is ur frd's if the theives simply change the plate. Any other recognizable features? (e.g. scratch marks or anything?)
