Does Lexus need anti-rust?
Hey, does Lexus need anti-rust? I bought a Rx350 3 months ago. When I bought it, I told the dealer that I want to do anti-rust for my car but he told me Lexus does not need to do anti-rust. Is that true? I really don't want my car get any rust in its first winter. :-) Thanks!
seeing that you live in ontario, i would say yes? but obviously someone from where you live should be more qualified to answer this.
i looked at an 06 IS for a friend that was brought over from ontario to here in BC, and wow i couldn't believe how much stuff had rusted on it, despite only have 30k kms on it
. i'm not talking perforation, just stuff like suspension parts, nuts/bolts, brake components...

To be on the safe side, I would get the anti-rust protection. Have a reputable aftermarket dealer do this for you. It gives piece of mind, especially if you plan on keeping your RX350 beyond the warranty period.
I would have it sprayed to keep teh bushings and weatherstrips in perfect condition.
Also if it is an Cambridge Ontario RX then you want to have it done immediately and always every year.
