Bad Fuel
Hello - has anyone purchased premium fuel from the Husky station at West King Edward and Oak Street in Vancouver recently? I filled up on Nov. 26th/07, noticed engine problems almost immediately, then my car had to be towed in for repairs because it just quit on me. Long story short, the fuel was around 50% diesel.
Thanks

no but if it was 50% diesel i don't think it would be that bad for the engine. check up on youtube, i saw a video where they intentionally put wrong fuel into the wrong car (petrol into diesel car, and diesel into petrol car) i think fifth gear did the experiment. sure enough both cars died but after emptying the tank and filling it up with the correct fuel, the gas-powered car ran fine...although the same cannot be said to the diesel car

i remember that 5th gear episode
getting it completely clean is hard
but damn if u can prove that husky had bad fuel, u could prob sue them over it and any real damage is done to the engine
i doubt it did any real damage though
nor can u really prove that the damage wasnt there before you fuelled up at husky if some minuet damage is found

did you contact the station manager/husky? i believe that stations are supposed to take samples of their tanks to determine quality/contaminant levels from time to time...
diesel in gasoline sounds absurd though, either someone else filled your car wrong or the guy filling their underground tanks put it in wrong accidentally... most of the time problems with fuel have to do with water in the fuel...
