Towing with the drive wheels down is just asking for something to go horribly, horribly wrong. Forcing the mechanics to work in reverse and what-not. Things like rear-difs explode from the pressure, gears lock up and break, it's just all around a bad idea. The other problem is if something just gets seriously stressed but doesn't break, because then it will break later under some reasonably random cirsumstance.

Everytime I've had my IS towed, I get a flat deck; it's not necessary, but it leaves a lot less room for error. Even if you have the non-drive wheels down, what happens when the tow guy goes over a bump / through a pot-whole or something.

I'm pretty sure that car isn't on; remember, hazzards can flash even when the car is off. Let's say the driver is present; if the driver didn't know to put the rear wheels up I'm going to say they also didn't know what gear to leave the car in.

Either way, that person is damn lucky if there's nothig wrong with their car now.

silver 2IS yesterday, blk rims w. pollished lip ... where was I ... man I was everywhere yesterday. Oh! ok. Kensington (where they're building the new sports complex), around 4pm, drove 'with' you for a bit.

That was almost the most useless spotted ever, haha.

1GS, 1LS, and a 2 LS all stuck in the snow
a 1SC sensibly parked, and my 1SC being towed after being hit by a Ford Exploder

I'm so choked right now
It made it 16 yrs and 275k without being in a crash. I was just sitting at a red light, at a full stop, and someone came around a corner as smashed right into it. Hopefully they won't write it off. It's bad but it's still totally fixable.

I don't know who that is, it was in the big lot of SoCal x-mas meet pix, lots of pix there but no more of him.

You might copy the pic into Car Chat with a 'who is this' question. I'm sure some1 knows who's car it is.

Maybe p-chop that cars rear end onto a pic of your car for a more accurate idea, but I think the blk lip/spoiler would look sick on your car either way (with the blk roof and smoked tails)

Thanks for the sympathy everyone.

Just a quick update, the other party is accepting full blame, so money wise and insurance premium wise, I'm fully in the clear. Now I just have to hope that ICBC doesn't write it off
