got itching to do something...

so i picked up a spare pair of headlights back a while ago, they were broken, but meh, i was after the inside parts of the housing. they are regular halogen housing.

so i ripped them apart for some spare parts.

Before

After

Headlight bezel's painted storm grey gunmetal. excuse the mess, we are renovating, so that part side of the garage is the dumping storage area for now.

So taking apart the headlights for the parts. What this means is when i finally get around to doing this mod...

I will have the stock oem HID bowls and clips (since the clips used to hold the bowls are different) for sale... for anyone that wants to do the hid conversion properly =)

then i got into a painting mood...

primered then repainted both front LS400 calipers...

yup. hence why i havent put them on yet.

my coilover replacement is backordered, which means i cant put on my front RCA's (which lower the car an inch in the front), which means i cant do the ls400 swap.

the supra TT calipers sit farther away, while the ls400 calipers have 1 of the bolt holes sit farther away, thus the angle is different to fit the larger rotors.

Headlight mods are sweet.

I was so confused at first - I'm like *I'm looking at what now?*

Was picking up someone from YVR international arrival and the attendant went up to me and said this is the first time he's seen an IS-F!

Strange, despite the relative rarity of IS-F's I would have thought someone with HIS job would have seen a couple or more...

though i do know a few ppl that managed to find a decent one around town.

but because it is an old car, you have to spend the time to do ur research on every vehicle.
