Does any1 know any1 or anywhere that will do black head-light & tial-light housing? and perhaps pricing for said mod?

I was thinking of doing it my self, but there just seems to be too much margin for error.

maybe i should specify ... local to the gvrd ... i dont really want to be w.o my car for any length of time [and no lights kinda = no driving]

 

i wouldn't do it... it's not really a reversable mod, and lights are hella expensive if you were to buy them incase you let's say... got VI'd

blacked out housings ARE illegal.. it is illegal to modify/tamper with vehicle exterior lighting systems... so HID's in non-HID equipped cars is illegal... changing the colour of your lights is illegal...

mind you, it's illegal... but people still do it...

yeah painting housing is legal
its strictly cosmetic and does no alter safety aspects at all as long as u dont mess with the reflector parts
i think fayme only wants to paint the non reflecting parts of the light housing

 

i'm not quite sure what you want to do... something like this?

ah icic... hmm... i think my.is has a sponsor that makes LED retrofits w/ black housing... maybe contact them... altho i think they mod ur own lights rather than send another set to you...

mine are slightly tinted black... i think (i could be wrong) there were two styles of taillights based on the pkg u got... one was chromier and one was almost a black chrome... maybe those will be easier to find?

i'm on my.is too... altho i spend most my time in the canada section :P watch out for coleboss... he's quite the character (at least online) hehe

 

I found the sponsor and they do sell just the black housing... seems like they have a program where they'll ship u the housings and u ship ur oem to them so no downtime... altho i guess the question is, how do you install them?
