Easyyyy!! Grats dude glad that a new ECU worked out for you. If i were you, send the broken one out to someone like tanin auto electronix to repair and when you get it back throw the fresh one in to really see how good things run.
Also that rear valve ended up springing a leak on both my gs300 AND sc300! On my gs300; the plastic started to break apart under that stock clamp, but thankfully replacing that valve is easy and putting a new clamp on it is very accessible. The hard one is on the back of the head. I almost advise you to think about tackling that sucker to fully replace that rear hose when you do all the spark plugs/wires/connectors.
Also, that valve does look identical to the gs300 one.
I was looking at the hose that goes behind the engine and thinking it might be a PITA to remove. I'll probably buy the valve, two hoses and clamps and just replace the rear hose at a later date. These valves all leak eventually. I have a very tiny leak on the valve for my LC as well. I had to buy the valve for that from Japan since it's an HDJ81 and the valve is different than the NA LC.
Dang, heater valve isn't the same as the GS300. Lever arm to open and close is on the front rather than the side. I'll have to pull it and take it to an auto parts store and see if they can find something that's the same or similar.
*Edit: Bah! Looks like hoses are NLA as well! Hopefully, I can just buy some straight hose and make it work I guess.

Reason: Update
I've been spending time planning and reviewing different options for replacement of the heater valve, but while reviewing random ads for stuff on facebook I stumbled across a posting where someone was parting out a JZS151 Crown. Looking at the photos in the engine bay the heater valve looks the same as what's on the JZS147 Aristo. I also found that this part is still available! Yay! I just placed an order for the part plus a bunch of stuff for my Land Cruiser from Amayama, so I'll post back in a few weeks after the parts arrive. Fingers crossed I can just swap the valve onto the JZS147 bracket and it's all good!
It took longer that I thought to get done, but I've confirmed that the heater valve out of the JZS151 is the same as the JZS147 Aristo! The part number is 87240-30650. The mounting bracket is different but the valve is the same. Photos below. The black bracket shows the Aristo setup with the original valve.
I have some concern my hose off the bottom of the valve will leak after the replacement, but for now I'll just monitor and see what happens.
Started the car up to move it around to finally start getting some work done on it, and yep, that bottom hose leaks pretty bad. First thought was to replace the hose, but that clamp close to the fire wall is difficult to grab onto. Current plan of action is to just try and replace with the original cotter pin style clamp. If that doesn't work, I guess I'll have to buy some cable clamp pliers and replace that hose.
Progress is slow as usual since it's hard to get free time to work on the car, but it feels good to have it as the priority to casually work on. Maybe I'll have the car out for a bit this summer
Work on this car is set to the back burner again...Moving house, so I didn't really get anywhere with the work on it. Once we started looking I didn't do any more work on the car because I didn't want to be half way through a task and then have to move. I ran it a bit since I had to move the car to get things organized. One day it ran great, the next day it would crank, but it wouldn't start. Did a bit of testing, and went with a bit of a hunch...yep, the back-up ECU I had in the car has also died! Second ECU on this car in the past couple of years. I managed to find another ECU. Just really lucky timing I think. Dropped it in and the car ran perfectly fine. Whew! After I get the car over to the new house, I'll send out the current ECU to get the capacitors replaced before I have any issues with it. Of course, that means more down time, but with the renovations we will be doing at the new house, I won't have time to work on the car anyway
After I ran the car the bottom hose on the heater valve was leaking a bit, so I changed back to the original (but annoying) style of clamp, and I managed to get it to stop. I'll just replace that hose at some point, but it seems like it's bit of a pain to get to the lower clamp at the firewall. I'll have to get those hose plier clamps to get it off I think.
