Nice to see another performance based 460 1UR on these forums.

Headers and a OS Giken differential are at the top of my wishlist... so correct me if I’m wrong but those PPE header needed further modification at the flange to fit ?

When I contacted PPE years ago they said ISF header would need further work to fit at that meeting point. I might not ever get a tune but at this point the my motor really needs to exhaust gasses faster 🐎

I feel for you GS guys tho in regards to the transmission. After driving a friends 2010 GS460 everything about the shifting reminded me of my modded LS430. Shifting smooth and seamless not fast and hard 💥

The headers are made for the GS460, not the ISF, so no modification would be needed. The trans is smooth, but the ISF TCM fixes that!

Just heard back from ppe about the headers. They received a customer complaint about one of the tubes slightly touching the steering shaft. They are trying to figure out a way to remedy this. The wait continues. Do you have this issue?

LOL That's ME!!!

It seems that when they mocked up their donor GS460, it was a high mileage one with worn out engine mounts. My 460 has basically new engine mounts and the engine sits too high for the drivers side header and rubs the steering column. So just waiting on them to send me a new drivers side headers, which is why I chose PPE. They emailed me back the same day when I had the issue and communicated the entire time. It took 2.5 months for the first set.

Wow! I was asked if I wanted to cancel my order. Nope! Only if they are scrapping the project, which it sounds like they aren't. Please let me know when your new header ships. Atleast I'll know they have it figured out. Was your steering wheel vibrating like crazy or harder to turn? Hell, I've got 126k on my hooptie. It might clear mine. Lol

Could this be why I don't see them offered for sale on the vividracing website anymore?! I was still wanting to purchase some but was waiting to get some financials right. I had thought I missed my chance or something. I didn't see for them sale anywhere else. Where did yall ordered y'alls from?

Direct from PPE. Very good response via email.
When I ordered mine, PPE explained that there was a 7 week production delay. Arrived in the UK in good time. Can't wait to get them installed with a full exhaust system.

Can't wait to get mine installed as well. Waiting for the revised drivers side header to be figured out. I dread the 13 hour drive for a dyno tune though. Uhg!

Word from PPE is that they have finished redesigning the drivers side header, so any future orders should be fine.

PPE Engineering is a company that understands its your reputation both with delivering quality products as well as customer service that keeps you in business in an ultra competitive market. Trey has much more of a willingness and ability to diy than I ever will have. If I screw up my daily driver I'm toast.

Just got a full chrome delete and wrapped the rear wing with carbon fiber vinyl. Really changes the look and ties in with the wheels. Window tint and caliper paint next.
