Talking AntiStupid's '08 SFP Build

Picked up a '08 ISF w/137k miles by its original owner, 65+yo female. Decided to go ahead and create a build thread, but I am a newbie to the chassis and I'll keep an open mind AND look forward to recommendations from the F community!

Going to tackle this build in stages. Fixing the known issues first, moving to some power mods, and then jumping on cosmetics.
1. Maintenance - Spark plugs, tranny fluid, rear diff fluid, pressure test cooling system, figure out the paddle.
2. (Audio off) - beatsonic and a head unit , repaint front cap, wrap front cap, window tint, new floor mats, interior lighting, taillights
3. Stage1 (exhaust leak) - PPE Headers, Xforce varex, RR intake, RR tune, RR motor mounts.
4. Stage2 - Suspension and dealing with tire wear
5. Stage3 - wheels and tires

Today

Day 1

Welcome! 275/35/19 squared will require modification of fender liners and possibly front bumper tab relocation depending on ride height. I have 265/30/19 and I'm pretty low and got away with changing the protruding bolts in the wheel well to bolts flush with the liner; and I also heat gunned a little bit on the liner. Unfortunately, tire selection for 275/30/19 is super limited, so going the 275/35 route makes sense.
If you're talking about 18" wheels, you're good

Dove into swapping out the OEM Cd Payer last night and was unable to complete the install due to lacking the beat sonic mounting brackets. Put the OEM stuff back in for the weekend and I seem to have created more issues!
Anyway, going with a beat sonic harness and a Pioneer DMH-2660NEX.
Awaiting a slot at my the local shop where the front cap will be painted.

Ill have to start buddying up with the local dealerships service manager.

I just had my dash and door panels replaced, I was really surprised at how easily it was approved. I was just starting to get a sticky/shiny area on
my dash, nothing on door panels. The service advisor asked me to send him pictures of the dash and door panels to try to get approval. It was approved
without any hassle at all and the old door panels were still in great conditition. I had no prior relationship with the dealership other than warranty work on an
older is350 I no longer own... Maybe I got lucky but I would try to get it done sooner than later.

Put the new head unit in. Pioneer 2660NEX. Audio is working again! Ill have to swap out speakers however, I don't find the sound quality worth much.

little bit of progress...

Removed front LP frame mount and covered holes with Bumper Plugs (thanks truespeed)
Wheels are enroute, waiting for current tires to hit end of life before mounting. Koni Decagrams in 18x9.5 35. Tires, 275/35 stock ride height, holding my breath they fit.

Ordered some stuff today.
RR performance upgrade package, and some spark plugs.
Xforce Varex exhaust

Ill get a base 1/4 and dyno this week hopefully. Then I have to pick tires, get the tranny service, change the plugs, and then add all the stuff.

Mike maybe the next update will include pics

Almost have all the parts I've ordered on the table. Still waiting on the spark plugs, starter and now the mufflers (UPS lost them)
