Been on this forum for some years now, but dont post much. I do read alot of posts and like to look at useful info about our cars on this site.

I used to have a 2007 Magnetic Gray is350 rwd. Sold with 162000 miles on the clock and still drove like new.

I now have a beautiful like new 2014 Starfire pearl w/ red interior is350 F sport rwd with the Aisin 8 speed.

I want to know if anyone has attempted to convert a 3rd gen IS into an ISF? I want to see about swapping an RCF/GSF 5.0 V8 into my car. Would probably build it first, because it would get boosted as well.

Why not just buy an ISF? Because I want a 3rd gen ISF dammit! Lol. I prefer the look of the 3rd gen. I think its damn sexy and deserves to have a V8 under the hood....

Is this possible? I'd imagine it should fit considering the RCF is a thing and the 2nd gen ISF is slightly dimensionally smaller.

Apparently they had designed the 3IS to take the v8, but never went ahead with a 3rd gen IS F.

As far as I can tell, the only v8 swapped current gen IS in existence.

 

Hell yes, thank you for this. I now have a template to go off of! Gonna do some research and try to get as much info from these guys as I can. Then I'll start looking for an RCF donor car. This will eventually become a build thread. I'll provide updates as time goes on.
