No, thankfully none got on the car's paint! My heart sank when he told me about it, I was picturing paint corrosion all around the wheel well. I was really happy when he sent the above pic!

Yea this is exactly the reason i try to do everything myself, but i understand that's not always possible, regardless it's a small setback to an overall very nice build. Look forward to seeing more progress!

Brakes came into the shop. One of them was for the wrong generation GS lol. Time to return it and get the right one.

No chance of repairing the threads with a tap?

No, it's not worth the risk since it might leak. The brakes are too critical to be driving on patched brakes...

Brakes came in, painted, installed. Went to pick up the car today, but there's something quirky about the left rear cup so I left it there for them to figure it out. Got some pics though!

You drilled a hole on the caliper for that screw, correct? I guess this part of the caliper is solid metal, not risk of drilling into a brake line.

Yeah, the shop drilled the caliper and put in a nutsert there. Like you said, the caliper is solid metal in that area.

Did they drill it all the way through?

I'm not sure. I imagine you would only need it as deep as the nutsert though.

Thanks for the kind words!
So the Airride manifold had a faulty pressure sensor so it's being warrantied.
Also, the rear suspension was converted to a true coilover setup (spring is on the shock body instead of in the spring cup) and now the left rear rim rubs on the cup when right-turning into a driveway if I don't slow down enough or if I'm not aired up all the way. That's a bit of a bother so I'm going to have the fenders cut and use a spacer for now. I'm curious what others with air cups have done, though there aren't too many with aircups to provide feedback. I'm prob going to get new wheels with the proper offset in a few months after I've figured out the best setup.

The car is done!! It's been quite a journey!

I know it's it bit "Euro" but I did a fade on the front lip. I have a similar fade on the trunk of my M3 you see in the background.

Bottom part of diffuser painted satin black.

They did a great job on the rewrap and matching stitching.

Still feel like I need new wheels. I'm open to any recommendations on what you think would look good!
